In this day and age, we hear a lot about people talking about 4x4 trucks, but how many of you really know what 4x4 trucks stand for? When talking about 4x4 trucks you are talking about a truck that has four wheels and all four wheels are providing power. Although, a lot of people think that you should not have to say that a truck has four wheels, because most do. However, if you think about it, a lot of trucks have more than four wheels. This is where you get the term 6x6 and 8x8. However, a lot of smaller trucks would be 4x2 which would mean you have four wheels, and only two are supplying power (like a lot of cars).

It's important for a lot of trucks to be 4x4 trucks. That is because most trucks need the extra power when it comes to pulling something. People need their tires to be able to dig down deep into the ground and give that little bit of something extra.
